News & Announcements
Welcome back! Our Middle School Team has been busy meeting and preparing another great school year for your child. A big change for this year is that we are piloting a new schedule. Classes will meet four times a week for one hour. This is the same amount of weekly class time as before, but will allow more class time for instruction and activities during the actual class period. We are looking forward to seeing the great results that more time on task will lead to. |

Waters student earns gold at state science fair! ![]() Congratulations to Ariel (room 309) for her outstanding performance at both the city and state science fairs this spring! Ariel won several special awards at the City of Chicago fair in March and was selected to go on to compete at the State level! Not only did she do well at the State fair in May, but she was awarded GOLD! Ariel is a bright young lady who completed her research on how salt affects the microcrustacean, Daphnia. Even though Daphnia are small, by studying them, we get a good picture on the health of our aquatic ecosystems. Ariel's research caught the eye of many professional scientists visiting the fairs. Waters School is very proud of Ariel! |
Please see the policies page for middle school policies and procedures.
Plan ahead.... Please begin thinking about what experiment you would like to do for your science project. You may email your topic to Mrs. Ballasch for approval. Please visit the science project link on the Science webpage for more information.
