Class Trips
2009 - 2010
Here at Waters School, we feel that education and learning do not only take place in the classroom, but also by experiencing the world around us. Each Middle School student will have the opportunity to experience an unique travel opportunity.
6th - Camp Duncan Our 6th graders will spend an exciting day at Camp Duncan. They will participate in many outdoor activities(*Cost TBD)
7th - Springfield, IL
The 7th graders go on an overnight excursion to Springfield, IL where they will learn about our state government, Abraham Lincoln and tour several famous buildings. (*Cost aprx. $280)
8th - Washington D.C.
Our 8th graders will spend a two night trip touring our nation's capital. The students will visit many historical landmarks around this beautiful city. Trip is planned for April 28 - May 2, 2010. Cost is currently $854 per student with 25-29 students going, but it can be lowered if we have 30+ students participating.
All trip prices include transportation, rooming, meals and admission fees. We know these trips are costly. Students will be given many opportunities to fundraise and bank their money for the trip. Families with students in 5, 6 & 7th grade may want to consider beginning to set money aside now for their 8th grade trip.
